Curtis Hairston is a partner at The Gee Law Firm and has been practicing law for over 30 years. He graduated from Harvard University, cum laude, in 1984 and from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1987.
Over the years, Curtis has handled a wide variety of cases. He has a proven track record of advocating for injured people. He is passionate about helping those who have been injured due to someone else’s negligence and protecting the rights of employees. He regularly practices in Virginia’s federal and state courts. Prior to joining The Gee Law Firm, Curtis spent 14 years representing a wide range of individuals and corporate clients at Williams Mullen.
Throughout his career, Curtis has been active in his community. He is a member of First Baptist Church South Richmond and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has served on numerous boards including the Virginia Home for Boys, Arts Council of Richmond, Leadership Metro Richmond, Offender Aid and Restoration of Richmond, Imani Community Development Corporation, and the Chesterfield Girls Basketball League.
Curtis has also served in numerous leadership roles within the bar. He served as president of the Old Dominion Bar Association, on the executive committee of the Richmond Bar Association, and as an elected representative to the Bar Council of the Virginia State Bar. The Virginia Supreme Court appointed Curtis to the Character and Fitness Committee of the Board of Bar Examiners where he has served since 1995.
A native of Martinsville, Virginia, Curtis has been married to Janice Hairston for 25 years. They have three beautiful daughters.
